What Grosvenor Actually Offers
I spent a couple of weeks putting Grosvenor through its paces, splitting my time between grosvenorcasinos.com and one of the London branches. The brand runs over 50 brick-and-mortar casinos across England, Scotland and Wales, while the online side covers slots, live dealer tables, poker and sports betting. Both arms sit under The Rank Group, so the overall feel is surprisingly consistent whether you are at a real table or on your phone at midnight.
The online operation is run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Ltd, which holds a UK Gambling Commission licence under account number 57924. Land-based Grosvenor venues use a separate UKGC licence, account number 614, held by Grosvenor Casinos Limited. With that dual-licence setup, every part of the brand has a regulator looking over its shoulder. When I was testing withdrawals and digging through account settings, that structure genuinely made me feel a bit safer.

One thing I need to flag early: the “Haringey” wording does not match any current Grosvenor venue name. It is not in the casino finder on the official site and it does not show up in the UKGC premises register either. Verified London venues in the records include Gloucester Road (SW7), Park Tower in Knightsbridge, Rialto on Coventry Street and St Giles on Tottenham Court Road. If you are trying to work out where to go in person, the casino finder at grosvenorcasinos.com/local-casinos/casino-finder is the safest place to check up-to-date addresses and opening hours.
Getting Registered
Getting started online is quick as long as you have your documents to hand. I went from landing on the homepage to having a live account in under ten minutes. UK rules mean your identity has to be verified before you can take out any money, so it makes sense to deal with that early instead of bumping into a limit later.
On grosvenorcasinos.com, hit “Join Now” in the top-right. First you add your email and a password with letters, numbers and symbols. After that comes your name, date of birth and UK residential address. Grosvenor then sends an email with a confirmation link. Until you click that link, the account is basically parked.
Once I was in, I went straight to Account Settings before touching the cashier. That is where you set deposit limits, session reminders and other safer gambling tools. It takes a couple of minutes at most and saves you from having to fiddle with it when you are already in the middle of a session.
For the full account, you need to upload a valid photo ID and a proof of address dated within the last three months. Once those are approved, withdrawals are fully unlocked. The login page loaded reliably on both desktop and my phone. When I deliberately “forgot” my password, the reset email took a couple of minutes to show, which is about what I expected.
Deposits and Withdrawals
During testing I used both cards and PayPal. Grosvenor accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Apple Pay for putting money in and taking it out. Credit card deposits for UK customers are blocked completely under UKGC rules that came in back in April 2020. I tried adding a credit card just to see what would happen and the system refused it immediately with a clear message on the screen.
The minimum deposit is £5 whether you use a debit card, Apple Pay or Instant Bank Transfer. I did not see any platform-wide maximums published, but you can set your own daily, weekly or monthly cap in your account. For me that custom cap is far more practical than a random fixed limit.
The basic flow looks like this:
- Log in and click “Deposit” in the main navigation bar.
- Pick Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or Apple Pay.
- Type in the amount you want (at least £5) and confirm.
- Check the balance at the top-right to make sure the money actually landed.
- For withdrawals, open the account menu, choose “Withdrawal”, select the same method you previously used, add the amount and confirm.
PayPal was noticeably quicker than card when I pulled money out. Card withdrawals picked up an extra day or two, which is mostly down to how your bank processes incoming payments. I did not get charged any fees for deposits or withdrawals during my tests, though I would not take that as a universal promise.
| Payment Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visa (debit) | Yes | Yes | Credit cards blocked for UK users |
| Mastercard (debit) | Yes | Yes | Credit cards blocked for UK users |
| PayPal | Yes | Yes | Typically instant deposit |
| Apple Pay | Yes | Yes | Minimum £5 |
| Credit cards | No | No | Prohibited under UKGC rules |
A general habit that helps everywhere: always try to withdraw back to the same method you used to deposit. Most gambling sites will push you that way anyway for compliance reasons, and following that pattern from the start avoids annoying delays and extra checks.
